I turned 13 years old in 1970 and, with twin brothers who are 5 years older than me and with parents who were always musically inclined, I was exposed to all forms of music from a very early age and experienced the British Invasion firsthand. Although I was only 6 years old at the time, I distinctly remember the Beatles first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show in February of 1964 and the incredible amount of anticipation of this momentous event. I bought my first album (with my own money) in 1969, "Goodbye" by Cream (largely on the strength of the bassline in "Badge"). I still have this album some 41 years later. While my brothers were at school, I would sneak into their room and play music on their reel to reel tape deck (which they had no idea I knew how to operate) and emmerse myself in the music of the day. Music continues to be an integral part of my daily life.
