Thomas Simpson

I was born at Moody AFB in 1975. I am the only child of Thomas and June Simpson. Both of my parents are originally from the Valdosta area. My parents and I lived in Palatka, Florida, Warner Robins, Georgia, Charleston, South Carolina, Incirlick, Turkey, and Savannah, Georgia before settling once and for all in Valdosta in 1988.

I attended Hahira Middle School and Lowndes High School. I was in AFJROTC for three years at Lowndes High School. I graduated from Valdosta State University in 1997. I moved to Abilene, Texas in 1997, but returned home in 1998. Since 1998 I have been working and finally earned my second degree from Valdosta State University in 2009.

I married in 2002 and have two daughters,
I have been a Patient Representative at South Georgia Medical Center since 2006. I visit with a number of patients daily and function as a liaison, facilitator, referee, notary public, and compliance auditor.

In 2006, I decided it was time to reinvent myself professionally. I enrolled in the Public Administration (City Manager Track) degree program at Valdosta State University. My goal is to become a credible, creative, and candid public servant in the eyes of my city, my state, and my country.
