My husband and I are recent empty nesters. Being a parent has been a wonderful experience. We homschooled, participated in 4-H, and in Junior Olympic level kayaking. Now, however, I am stretching my wings and being led by my interests, not the duties of being a parent. I have worked as an at-home medical transcriptionist for almost a decade, and now I want to write my own stories in my own words. In 2009 I suffered an injury that led to six weeks of bedrest, so I took writing courses on-line. I am excited to write and get feedback on my work and to learn even more about writing.
