Alice-Jane Webb
Alice-Jane Webb leads two separate lives; she is a hard working HR professional on weekdays and a relaxed country woman on weekends. She spend a lot of her spare time milking her cows, collecting the chicken eggs, running around with her goats and growing delectable fruits and vegetables. Alice-Jane has the tendency to daydream and create stories in her mind whilst lazing in the sun on her many acres.
Alice-Jane has been writing and drawing since she could hold a pencil and she has written many short poetry books starting with the 'Fragments' collection and moving onto the larger novels with the 'Fairytale' Collection. Her writing currently covers all ages, from children's books, teen romance, adult fiction and non-fiction. Her newest collection of children books is based on her very own farm. Starting with a lyrical and poetic introduction to all the animals, and leading on with an individual book about each of the animals and how they interact, are looked after and their daily activities.
I write for 2 reasons; because there is some fantasy I want to live out, and to express my feeling about certain events. Writing was an outlet for me most of my life, letting go of fears, feeling and hardships, or trying to work out the reasons why things had happened. A lot of people write for money, or for other people, thinking about the audience that the book is intended for. In most cases I have been writing very selfishly for me. I rarely think about the readers and what I am trying to convey to them until the end of the writing phase. When I finally get to the end and I realize that there is actually a lesson to be learnt from my experience and that maybe other people have been going through similar situations. I would then read over my first draft and try and clarify my thoughts so that the readers can see what points or thoughts I am trying to convey.
