Rhonda Cortez
I was born in Huntsville, Alabama in 1978. I graduated from Bob Jones High School in 1997. My first bachelors in print journalism was from the University of North Alabama. After I got married, I continued to freelance write articles, short stories, and poetry. I was named one of the Top Amateur Sci-Fi Writers on Earth in 2007. I have tutored English to children in grades K-12 and ESL for adults. Since 2007, I have also been a substitute teacher mainly for middle school and high school. My husband and I recently added a baby girl, Kara-Alysia Tatiana, to our family. Being a mom changes everything, but is a wonderful blessing. In January 2011, I started my coursework towards a second bachelors degree in English Secondary Education from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. I am still learning everyday, and life holds surprises around every bend.
