Heather Renee Jackson
For over 16 years, Heather was a practicing Animal Health Technician. Her love for animals led her to a very successful career in animal health, working in many different areas of veterinary medicine. Regardless of whether she was inserting IV catheters in dogs and horses, or educating pet owners about routine animal care, her dedication to the field of veterinary medicine is a lifelong passion. She went on to earn a degree in Veterinary Hospital Management.
In addition, Heather has been a horse enthusiast for over 30 years. She studied and learned the art of riding from experts hailing from around the globe : from the desert sands of northern Africa to the sunny hillsides of Southern California.
Formal disciplines include Huntseat, show jumpers, and dressage. Not only is Heather an expert when it comes to animal health issues, but she has also trained and given lessons to those eager to learn about horsemanship.
Heather now writes professionally while living with her three-year-old son, horse, dog, and a Moluccan Cockatoo named Tabu. Some of Heather's previous works have been published in various newspapers and magazines, as well as being used in the day to day operations of Veterinary Hospitals on both the East Coast and West Coast.
