Dr. Michael A. Snyder is a board-certified general surgeon, an active member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and one of the leading weight-loss surgeons in the country. In addition to being a published author of "Why Diets Don't Work," he is also the founder of the "Be Full, Eat Less" approach to weight management and has developed an all-natural food line that provides the benefits of weight loss surgery with a simple approach. His creations include Fullbar (GNC's Product of the Year in 2008), Fullbites, Aquafull and Truffulls, which are sold in 38,000 locations around the country.

He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, received his medical doctorate from the University of Miami, and completed his residency and internship in general surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University. In total, he has performed more than 3,000 primary bariatric surgeries, specializing in minimally-invasive (laparoscopic) and bariatric surgery.
