Religion and theology have always been a passion of mine. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Salem College in Winston-Salem, NC. Born and raised in North Carolina, the "Bible Belt", where there is a church on about every block, I have always questioned definitive statements made by religious leaders.

God has given me a gift of "reading between the lines", "peeling the layers off the [proverbial] onion", or seeing the "big picture". These idioms best describe my unique perception and perceptive of religion, rituals, and practices of religious groups. Whether it is Christianity, a singular denomination, Islam, Shamanism, or the exploration and insight of Voodoo Priest, I try to offer new insight to the events in order to dispel ignorance on these subjects. History plays an important roll in my research. The facts blended with my "mind's eye" will offer a different POV (point of view).

In addition to scholarly submissions I enjoy writing inspirational/devotional items. In straightforward language the inspirational literature is mainly a Christian based doctrine intertwined with bible verses. These are fun to read, as I incorporate humor in with daily living to promote spiritual wellness.

I am looking forward to sharing, learning, and being apart of the internet community.

  • Do We Think We Can Manipulate God?
As Christians we think that we can manipulate God that way. We say, "Hey, as least I'm not as bad as so-and-so." Well, sorry but that does not work with God because God views all sins the same, "All wrongdoing is sin..." (1 John 5:17 NIV)
  • How Can You Overcome Rejection?
Have you ever tried to convince someone that you are who you say you are? We've all experienced rejection; a job interview, a football coach, or a neighborhood friend, see how Jesus handles these rejections and help us with our own.
