I fell in love with Ann Arbor at the age of 14 and pretty much decided never to leave. After getting a degree in philosophy from the University of Michigan, I put it to use in an array of fields that ranged from real estate to hospitality to mothering before landing at the entertainment desk of the now-shuttered Ann Arbor News. I continue to cover the books scene for AnnArbor.com and have launched a one-woman initiative to get Michigan drinkers to drink Michigan beer and wine, and it's my particular delight to shine a spotlight on fun events that benefit good causes.
