Ask someone about American Idol or Jersey Shore and you will often get a lengthy debate, for or against, about everything you could ever want to know about either show. Ask someone about the legislation currently being considered that may impact Net Neutrality and you will get a blank look, followed by a response like "I don't follow politics." For over a generation now we have abdicated our authority when it comes to our government, and the results speak for themselves. It is time to reconnect to the things that make our country what it is intended to be.
