I've been turned off by movie critics because I've almost missed out on some real gems because of bad reviews of good movies. I have a distaste for the artsy only taste. I like art films but I don't feel like they should be held so high on the movie going pedestal. Movies are like food. Steak is good, but sometimes you're in the mood for a hot dog. Am I right, or am I right? I've seen a lot of movies from silent to present. What can I say, I love films, and my friends think I should do this sorta thing. I'm the buddy you call when you want to know about a movie!
