Scott Alten
The author of White Pulse and Chambers, Scott Alten has have lived and worked in southern New Jersey his entire life. While currently a high school English teacher, he has also been an adjunct college professor, a social worker (assisting at-risk youth as well as mentally ill adults), an Atlantic City casino security guard and a boardwalk carny (among a plethora of other occupations). He has honed his writing skills through time and trial and by drawing upon unique experiences. He has also worked with a myriad of local writers, most notably Pulitzer Prize winning New Jersey poet Stephen Dunn.
