Lauren Hovis

From an early age, I gained an appetite for knowledge. So many things in this world interest me, from serious academics to pop culture in the United States and around the globe to dog breeds. Through this appetite, I created passions in my personal and professional life. I am passionate about law & U.S. history and went on to graduate from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor's in History and a Paralegal Certificate in Civil Litigation. I am acutely passionate about writing in academics and creatively. I am published in the inaugural edition of ESSAI, a project compilation for College of DuPage (IL). I have a passion for music in all genres and do write on the topic often. I am deeply passionate about dogs, from breed histories to current events in my local animal shelters. I adore dogs so dearly that I own a personal blog devoted to anything pup. I am passionate about supporting mental health. I myself suffer from two rare and serious mental disorders, discovered early in life. They are profound in effect & I make leaps and bounds to conquer them every day. My interests change constantly, but my passions remain true throughout.
