Phil Richardson
Military: Before entering college, Phil Richardson served four years in the US Navy as a Fire Control Technician (radar controlled guns) and traveled all over the world visiting all the continents except Australia and including Antarctica. He has written a book about his time in the Navy.
Professional: Phil Richardson is now retired from Ohio University where he was the Director of the Language Resource Center (now named the Richardson Language Resource Center). As the director, he decided on purchases of computer and media equipment, supervised students, and taught methods of teaching languages and the use of media in language teaching. He has written several chapters in books on media methodology.
Fiction: Phil Richardson has written over 150 short stories including mysteries, science fiction, magic realism, horror, and literary short stories. He lives in Athens, Ohio with his wife, Joyce, who is also a writer. Two of his stories were nominated for Pushcart Prize in Fiction award and several stories have placed in or won fiction contests.
