I am the wife (of 1), mother (of 2) and nana (of 3). One of my children is a developmentally delayed 18 year old. He started displaying unusual behaviors when he was a toddler but didn't receive his first diagnosis of ADHD at the age of 5. As the years went on the diagnosis was added to. Today his diagnosis is Asperger's Syndrome Disorder, Bi-Polar, ADHD, ODD, OCD all wih aggressive tendencies.
I am, by no means, a professional, but I would like to contribute some of the tips, tools and techniques that might prove useful for other parents or family members of a developmentaly delayed child. Contribute from an involved parent's perspective.
