Claude Saravia
Claude Saravia was born in Queens, New York City. He traveled throughout the USA, visiting 36 of the 50 states, before arriving in Toronto in 2005. It was there that he decided to harness his writing talent, ultimately settling on studying journalism at Humber College in Toronto. Since that time, he has contributed to publications in Toronto such as The Gleaner Community Press, Post City Magazines, as well as his school's publications - The Humber Et Cetera, Convergence magazine, and Sweat magazine. He also wrote for TheDailyPlanet.com, which is an online publication tied in with Humber College. During his time at Humber College, Saravia has interviewed tons of people, from Toronto city councillors Adam Giambrone and Adam Vaughan, to Toronto's mayor - David Miller, to Canada's top talk show host, George Stroumboulopoulos. His articles are diverse as he has been to known to write about Canadian and American politics, sports, science and technology, art, film, music etc. He won the Science & Technology Award at the Humber College Media Awards in 2009.
