Hi everyone! I'm from Iowa City, Iowa and I still live there. It is the home of the University of Iowa where I obtained my Bachelors in Nursing and was honored to be a student and participant in the famous Iowa Writers Workshop for over 4 years.
I graduated with honors and was inducted into the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau. I still remain an active member.
I worked as a Home Health RN Case Manager for 16 years and when the paperwork became far more than the patient contact, I left nursing.
During college, I edited research papers for a medical research scientist; Dr. Nicholas Pantazis in the College of Medicine before he submitted them to medical journals. He always gave me a special "thank you" in his preamble. It was him, plus two of my doctorate nursing professors who gave me the necessary recommendations to be allowed into the Iowa Writers Workshop.
I've never been so thankful for that experience since i's earned my bread and butter the past three years!
I've been writing and selling ebooks online for 3 years. I've written ebooks in nearly every hot topic niche. I learned the skills of copy writing and wrote sales material that accompanied each ebook I wrote. Then I sold the entire package to buyers.
I believe with my nursing background and ready access to the medical libraries here, I could become an expert medical writer. I haven't pursued that yet, but am thinking about it. It's tedious research and requires heavy documentation. One needs to be highly reimbursed for such an extra effort.
Honestly, I'm thrilled to become a part of Associated Content. Having interests that got from A to Z, I'm excited about writing a fresh new topic of my choice every day. This is a tremendous boost from my laborous ebook writing. I intend to make Associated Content my new way of life!
