Steve Bartholomew
Born in Minnesota; family moved west when I was a year old because it was too damn cold. Grew up in San Francisco, also lived in Mexico City and NYC. Always wanted to escape the cities. Now I live in rural Northern California with a volcano and lake in my back yard. Spent over 20 years as a social worker in the mean streets of cities and hardscrabble towns. Now I write stories about the Gold Rush and other strange times. Four novels published, 2 more currently on the way. What more can I say? Always liked that word, "hardscrabble."
