A resident of rural America, wife, mother, and grandmother, J. Allyn Reed enjoys writing short stories and poems, participating in the local community theater, and helping those groups of interest fund raise and plan for events. She has spent time volunteering with Head Start, Family Resource Center, Friends of Theater, Tree Planting Festival planning, and is currently involved with a non-profit Diverse Gathering Group.
