Kristie Carpenter
I grew up in Lafitte, Louisiana. After high school, I attended Loyola University New Orleans, where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. I worked in the media for 12 years, in both publishing and television news. This career allowed me to live in Metairie, LA, Shreveport, LA, Dallas, TX and Honolulu, HI. I met my husband in Hawaii, but he is a pilot in the Air Force, so we moved to Oklahoma. While living in Oklahoma, I received a Master of Education degree from Wayland Baptist University, worked as an adjunct professor at Western Oklahoma State University and gave birth to my son. We are now back in Hawaii, enjoying the beauty that makes this place paradise. I am hoping to teach at a local university.
