Steven Limbaugh
Hello Everyone,
My name is Steve Limbaugh and I was born in Fall River Massachusetts on August 26, 1974. At the age of 12-years I moved to Townsend Massachusetts to live with my grandparents. During that time I attended North Middlesex High graduating in1993, and played football, ran track, competed in full contact Tae-Kwondo, and met the mother of my two beautiful daughters.
In 1997 the Lunenburg police department sponsored me to attend the Intermediate Police academy. Unfortunately, after making numerous attempts to obtain employment in the law enforcement field, I realized my level of education was insufficient. From that point I continued to work low paying, labor intensive jobs. Finally in 1998 I became a member of the local 39 Massachusetts Labors Union. The pay was fantastic, but the work at times was extremely exhausting, and labor intensive. Finally after years of traveling for the Union to find work I contacted a representative at the Axia University of Phoenix. Contacting the University was one of the best decisions made. On October 8, 2007 I began my first college experience and must say the feeling was overwhelming, but at the same time extremely satisfying as the experience increased my self esteem, and allowed me to grow as an individual.
Here I am now with one class remaining and I will have completed the bachelor's degree program in criminal justice and administration. I will graduate with an undergraduate degree on July 12, 2011. From there I will take six to eight weeks off from college to relax before moving forward to earn a master's in psychology with a focus in behavioral analysis. Currently I work assisting individuals who have cognitive, psychological, behavioral, and physical disabilities. The unit, in which I work, is the most difficult as these individual possess low and high frequency levels of intense, severe, and dangerous behaviors, such as kicking, punching, biting, spitting, destroying property, and so on.
