Peter Carr
1982 was the year Peter made the first of many notable achievements; In college Peter teaming up with friends Gerry Hopkinson, (President of Unity PR,London,Uk one of Europe's leading P.R. Firms) and Bruce Ployart. Together they forming PCA (Peter Carr Associates) Concert Productions.
The company successfully Produced Concerts in Vancouver / Victoria,B.C., Seattle, WA, Eugene & Portland, OR and West Coast Tour Managed such at the time unknown acts as "Dépêche Mode"," Echo and the Bunnymen", "Elvis Costello", "XTC", "The Cramps",
"Gang of 4","The Police", "Gun Club" and many others.
Upon returning to Canada in 1986 he made a pit stop in Toronto and worked on notable Canadian & U.S. television series as "Night Heat", "War of the Worlds" and features such as "The Witches of Eastwick"(Cher) and "Cocktails" (Tom Cruise), before returning to Vancouver where he continued freelancing as an Assistant Director and Unit Production/Location Manager on numerous Vancouver shot television commercials, series and cinema feature films such as "21 Jump Street", "Wise Guy", "Rocky IV", "First Blood" and "The X-Files".
Skip ahead to 2010: Peter continues to live in Vancouver, B.C., Canada and has written, produced and directed numerous shot films which have garnered several awards including "Vulgar" '" 1984 N.M.E. Independent Short Film & Video Festival, London, England, "Hungry Jesus" '" 1988 Amsterdam Underground Short Film Festival and "Poor Celia" '" 1992 Seattle Dirty Pictures Spotlight.
He currently is the Creative Director on the CBC's parody reality series "CANADA'S NEXT GOVERNOR GENERAL" produced by Norflick Entertainment and ZaneDavid Television's +16, animated comedy series "SISSY BOY: The Greatest Rock 'n Roll Band in the World", for Teletoon (Canada) & The Comedy Network (US)
He is a member of The Directors Guild of Canada, The Canadian Film & Television Production Association and The Writers Guild of America.
