I am a young, 20-something mother with two sons, ages 5 and 2. I left my small town in Kansas to pursue a journalism career in Chicago only to be left with little to no options. I ended up working at a law firm for three years before deciding to pursue my life-long passion of becoming a teacher. I have just completed my masters degree in elementary education through the University of Phoenix, and I hope to someday have my own elementary classroom and also continue to pursue my love of writing in my spare time.
