Melissa Washington
I wrote my first story when I was six. I don't remember what it was about, I just remember that the main character was named Timmy. I showed the story to my first grade teacher and she was impressed that I had written it all by myself.
My fourth grade teacher told my mother how I loved to write after I received several certificates for creative writing assignments.
After performing spoken word in college, I had planned on having a great writing career, but LIFE got in the way! I've decided that it's not too late and I've started publishing articles on Hubpages and a few other sites. I will self-publish one of my novels in the next few months.
My motto is that it's only too late when you're dead! Everyone should go for their dreams even if they've been sidetracked.
