I am a mother of one teenager and the office manager for a fastener company that specializes in explosion venting fasteners which we sell all over the world. I've been with the company for 15 years in July. Previously, I worked for an incredibly successful computer company in the customer service and quality control dept.'s for 12-1/2 years. I was born in Springfield, Illinois, but have lived in Charlotte since I was 8 years old. All of my immediate family, except for my biological father and his relatives, live here or in nearby towns. I was recently married, June 2010, to a fellow from Columbia. No, not Columbia, SC as everyone always thinks, but Columbia as in the country. Bogota to be exact. My biological father is from one of Columbia's neighboring countries -Ecuador. Born and raised in Quito, my father came to the states for awhile when younger for educational purposes, and while attending college here, met my mother. As it just so happened, my parents separated & divorced and one of their professors would eventually become my stepfather from the approximate age of 6 until I was grown.
