Joseph A Greenberg
My name is Joe. Mostly some people know me as Doc Joe, and that's because I counsel people. But I never worked in the field, even though I hold degree in psychology. Actually I worked in accounting most of my life though there was a time when I ran a couple of businesses.
I decided to become a writer at the urging of my son, who's name is Reggie, who teaches English and Technical Writing in the Philippines. He is currently working on his Master's degree in education.
Someone said that we are the old and the young. My son says we are the young and the younger. Well, it's hard to argue with your son, but I am 80 and he's 33. He says he doesn't see me as old having as much energy now as I have always had. I have always enjoyed working and trying to help others, be it with their work, or just by being a good friend. My son says I have infinite patience and I find that it helps to have that when dealing with a diverse population.
I've seen a lot in my lifetime, from the great depression of the 1930's, through the second World War , a short stint in Korea, and then working in various businesses over the years
I presently live in a senior retirement community. Here I have time to write books, and also play the piano for the residents, and also attend religious events.
I am a member of the American Legion, support the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and any other veteran group. I collect stamps and am a member of the American Philatelic Society. I also like to take pictures with my digital Nikon , my son prefers a digital Canon
I plan to write about some of my experiences in life, about myself and my experiences with other people in the world., plus my views on current events, but I try to stay away from politics in general.
