I'm an ex-pat New Yorker -born and grew up in Manhattan, with an MA in Victorian Studies (history/English), 4 unpublished novels on my bookshelf, and three blogs - one about NYC history/genealogy, two about retro pop culture. I've lived in Canada for most of my adult life, and I've been a genealogist since my teens. I'm crazy about cats, and I will leave the dinner table to check the history or definition of a weird word (I do come back eventually, though).
