Marilyn Stevens

Former editor of specialty publications including Community Regeneration (Rodale Press), The Crafts Report and Art Calendar Magazine, Stevens made a mid-career switch to teaching, allowing more flexibility to provide daily elder-care to her mother. An adjunct ESL instructor in a community college, Stevens earned her M.Ed. in instructional technology and is currently a secondary ELL teacher. She also trains and supervises high school student writing tutors in a nationally certified Writing Center that she co-founded and now directs. Following a life long passion for horses and devoted to the healing nature of equine assisted therapy, Stevens is currently pursuing certifications in therapeutic riding instruction and equine science. She lives in Arizona with her husband and two dogs.
