Ruthie Shields
I'm just a simple country girl trying to get along. From the age of six, I was a chicken tender. Yes, my grandma taught me how to tend to the chickens. In 1965 I entered Edinboro U of PA and earned a degree in Art. Of course, I was a Flower Child, love beads, peace, flowers, freedom and all that.
In the years since then, I've worked in many fields relating to art and gained more knowledge and insight than I ever wanted to.
Being divorced, mechanically inclined and multi talented, I have become the local Ms. Fix It (a.k.a. power tool woman) to my friends. I can wallpaper, hang doors, paint, and build a dog house if I have to. My dog just sleeps on my bed.
Frequently, I promote the little town I live in, Perryopolis, PA. O.K., it's only a village. Oh yea, my family has lived here so long, I'm related to everyone including myself. I'm almost my own grandma. Pretty much everybody here knows me, and they just call me Crabby.
Currently, I'm a real estate agent for Century 21 Frontier Realty.
