C. J. Phillips
Ever the optimistic overachiever, C.J. is first and foremost the mother of six kids, her most important and fulfilling job. With college classes in Psychology, Business, Writing, Child Development, Education, & Culinary Arts she now holds Associate Degrees in both Business Management/Accounting and Food Service/Restaurant Management, and Certificates in Culinary Arts, Recognizing Child Abuse and Neglect, FastTrac MBA (sponsored by SBA), and Stress Management.
In the past C.J. has worked as a camp counselor, childcare provider, front-end assistant, office administrator, marketing consultant, office machine technician, CFO, personal chef, professional organizer, and entrepreneur. Currently an Executive Assistant for the VP of a nation-wide company, she also volunteers with the local Boy Scout Troop, fosters & rehabilitates abused and neglected animals, and feels grateful when she gets more than four hours of sleep! Being nominated as 'Best Mother in The World', even by children who are not her own, makes it all worth it!
She loves nature, children, animals, the written word, and the simple beauty of the little things in life. When she is not spending time with her true love and family (including furred and feathered), working, or in pursuit of knowledge, C.J.'s favorite pastimes include cooking, herbs, gardening, dancing, sewing, arts & crafts, math games, reading, meditation, anything geeky or supernatural, photography, and of course her most favorite ~ writing! If you were to ask why she chooses to lead such a busy and sometimes chaotic life she would say, "It fulfills me, and I bet I smile more times in a day than most people! Who wouldn't when surrounded by little souls, full of laughter and comedic antics!? Yes I take on too much at times, and yes, my life is busy, but it rewards me 10 times over! In the end isn't that what counts?" Her favorite quote: "Why sometimes I've believed as many as 6 impossible things before breakfast" - Lewis Carroll
