Yvonne Cousar
Briefly, I have a Bachelors Degree in English Literature from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Prior to attending UCLA, I attended the US International University located in San Diego, California (USIU). Unfortunately, USIU is no longer a viable institution; however, while attending USIU, I was fortunate enough to have been able to study English Literature in England for three months.
I grew up in Pennsylvania and lived in Southern California, for about 30 years. I also called New York City, New York, home at one time in my life. Now I am a permanent resident of San Antonio, Texas, but I am still afflicted with "wanderlust" from time to time.
My life's philosophy is to strive for excellence in all of my endeavors. The best way to do this is not only through performance, but also through listening as a means to finding appropriate solution. The old clichÆ'†'' 'Æ'' 'Æ'†'' 'Æ'†'' ''...‚¡Æ'†''...¡Æ''Å¡'‚© "you are never too old to learn" something new is at the core of my life's philosophy. Sometimes in life, you just have to close your mouth and open your mind.
On a personal note, I am twice divorced, with a magnificent son from my first marriage. He is a blossoming artist, in fact, the avatar I use on most of my profiles happens to be one of his pieces.
I have a great love of exploring new things, which is one of the reasons I love to travel. In August 2009, I participated in the English Emersion Program sponsored by Vaughtown and travelled to Madrid, Spain. This Program is designed to work with Spanish speaking individuals that are interested in learning urban English. The program involved a week long interaction between the Spanish speaking individuals and individuals who speak English as their native tongue.
