Steven Nalley
Steven Nalley is a recent graduate of the University of Alabama with three years of experience writing articles in lifestyles and community news. Named Best Arts and Entertainment writer at the 2010 Southeastern Journalism Conference for his work as that desk's editor at his student newspaper, The Crimson White, Steven also won the Best Editor award at the paper. At Alabama, as a National Merit Scholar, he majored in English and Journalism, with a minor in the school's selective liberal arts program, the Blount Undergraduate Initiative. At Alabama, he studied long-form creative non-fiction writing under Pulitzer Prize winner Rick Bragg. He specializes in human interest stories, profiles, arts and entertainment stories, and other types of features. In 2002, at 14, he placed second in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, keeping up with friends through social media, and computer games.
