Doug Carter
Doug Carter is a "poimen" in every sense of the word. Poimen, the Greek word for shepherd, denotes someone who tends the fields, feeds the flocks, and teaches the teachable. His bachelor of science degree in agronomy with a concentration in turfgrass management enabled him to learn turf management at some of the finest golf courses in North Carolina and south Florida. While heeding a strong desire to study theology in seminary, he spent three years learning to shepherd poultry flocks. Having successfully learned to grow plants and animals, Carter has now turned his attention to growing people. You can bet he loves to help others make their home lawns look like the golf courses they see on t.v., add depth and insight into Bible lessons, and challenge parents and students to reach ever higher into learning and deeper into their character.
