Texas T
I have over 30 years expertise in ceramic arts and recently have brought that to the web. My greatest experience came from owning and operating a small retail ceramic shop in the north Texas area, where I made and sold greenware and bisque. I held classes on various techniques and projects to encourage my customers to learn about the various processes used in ceramics. My favorite techniques involve fired colors - underglazes and glazes.
I have published blogs and websites to promote interest and knowledge of low-fire ceramics as well as technical processes in the industry. I am particularly enthused by the use of art and ceramics in occupational therapy as well as enhancing the learning abilities of youth. My passion is high on this topic and I hope to share it here.
Other hobbies I enjoy are flying radio controlled scale planes, gardening, and I dabble in real estate. The radio controlled scale planes is a unique area with a great deal of technical information I've learned over the last three years. Gardening and real estate have been a huge part of my life for over 15 years and most of my activity with it is second nature - not so much technical as heart felt.
Thank you for your interest in my work and sharing information through the art of writing.
