Candace Solhjou Petersen

With more than 20 years experience in Recruiting & Staffing, Candace has played a key role in the interview process for thousands of individuals. She has held executive leadership roles in both corporate recruiting and executive search, and is recognized as a foremost subject matter expert in the fields of interviewing, resume writing and career development.

Candace has trained both employers and candidates to interview more effectively. Her coaching has improved interviewing performance for professionals at all levels, from entry-level recent grads to senior-level executives. As President of the Human Resources Division for Kforce Inc. (NASDAQ), she managed the development of complex recruiting plans for a broad range of companies nationwide. She built, trained and led a national team deployed from 7 regional offices, providing interviewing and recruiting consulting services to organizations including: Fannie Mae, MCI, AOL/Time Warner, Freddie Mac, SAIC, AMS, Koch Industries, and many more.

An innovative thinker, she co-founded CRE, Inc. which pioneered the delivery of contract recruiting consulting services across the country. Candace and her team developed and executed college recruiting and campus relations programs for a variety of companies in many industries, including Financial Services, IT Services, Telecom, Healthcare, Energy, Consumer Products, Federal Contracting, Professional Services, and Not-For-Profit Consulting Services. Prior to founding CRE, Inc., Candace provided direct recruiting consulting services to industry leaders, focusing on Executive Search and Professional Recruiting. .

Candace is a graduate of Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
