Meighann Carter
I am a 34 year old, stay at home mother of two lovely girls (Kyra 13 and Rebecca 3 months). My husband and I have been a couple for 17 years. We share a love of gaming and pride ourselves on attempting to collect all the home video game consoles starting with the Atari 2600. Together; we have crushed mushrooms, rescued princesses, fought zombies, and survived the fall of Luclin into Norrath.
For 12 years, I worked in the student loan industry. I left my job in December of 2008 and spent the next few months acting as my mother's caregiver while she battled small cell lung cancer. This experience left me with a mistrust of healthcare in our nation and I set out to learn all I could about being your own advocate in medical situations.
Becoming extremely cynical about professional advice showed me that the best thing I could do for myself was to simply keeping learning. It also helped me make the decision not to continue looking for a job when I found I was pregnant with my little one. So I focused my energy on becoming a better parent, cooking, household management, writing, and crafting. A friend of mine showed me this site. Wow! What could be more perfect than a site where I can learn from everyone else and hopefully share a few things here and there?
