I was born the 10th of 12 kids (7 boys 4 girls) in a suburb outside of Buffalo, NY. I attended the local school and attended a small private college. My goal at the time was to obtain my degree in paralegal studies and a minor in psych. After spending a year in real property law I soon found out that being a lawyer was not for me. I'm sure to this day, or at least I convince myself, that had I started in litigation I would have continued on to lawyerville. Having bypassed that village I set my sites on the big city of Advertising. Early on I was lucky enough to hook up with the largest in the world at the time. I loved the job and stuck it out until one day downsizing liquidated the office. Not wanting to leave this great city of Advertising I took up with a smaller, much smaller ad agency. There I was an Ad Executive and was excited to hit the ground running. I soon found I was running on the wrong ground. It seems Ray, was more into collateral pieces and capabilities brochures for small to medium sized manufacturing companies. I, on the other hand, was making calls to Jordach Jeans and Sasoon trying to convince them that their jeans were about to come full fashion circle in the late 90's and if I remember correctly, I phone pitched something about a time machine. Anyway, Ray didn't want anything to do with that type of stuff and kindly pointed me out of his office after giving me some "hot" lead on a screw manufacturer who had a trade show coming up soon. He couldn't wait for our next meeting to share my ideas. I spent the next few days in my attic office (did I mention that?) trying to figure out a way to incorporate my Jeans/time machine idea for the screw company. Needless to say I did what I needed to do and then moved out of Advertising City. I then went back to my tried and true construction town. I have been here ever since and I don't really want to move. However, I want to continue my meager pursuit in writing. Hope you all enjoy.
