Kent Whitaker has taken his down-home, Southern-style cooking to an art-form. "I like to do a bit more than burgers and dogs on the grill."

He is the author of eight cookbooks and has written and illustrated two children books. Kent has appeared on the Food Network and other networks. He frequently hosts cooking classes and chef demos throughout the South. He also writes for The National Barbecue News and hosts a weekly radio show heard on affiliates across the country.
