At the age of 36, I have worked in a variety of jobs ranging from retail to accounts payable. For the past six years, however, I have worked in the field of Institutional Advancement, which is better known as college fundraising. It's a rewarding field to be a part of as I get to spend my days on a college campus and surrounded by the very young people whose lives my work directly impacts.
In my spare time, I enjoy writing short stories and the occasional article through Yahoo. It is also rare the find me without a book or two that I am in the process of reading. A love of literature, whether great or purely entertaining, was instilled in me at a young age. In addition, I can blame my sister for my addiction to social media.
